Wolf Financial Advisory | Quarterly Insights
Q4 2026
As we head into the final months of the year, it’s a good time to look ahead at your financial plans. Financial well-being is about more than numbers. It’s about having the confidence to enjoy what you’ve worked hard to build, relationships that help you feel supported, and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the community we share.
In this issue, we share year-end tax-planning insights and introduce Wolf Tax & Consulting, a separate but closely connected part of the Wolf family. You’ll also meet team members David and Amanda, explore the transition from saving to spending in retirement, and see how we’re helping double the impact of local donations through the Stuff-A-Truck campaign. Plus, you’ll hear directly from a client about the trust and comfort he has found working with our team.
We hope you enjoy this latest update and invite you to explore the articles, videos, and resources below.
End of Year Tax Planning - Rob Wolf
Year-end tax planning is about more than preparing to file - it is an opportunity to make thoughtful decisions before December 31.
In this conversation led by Wolf Financial Advisory's President, Amanda Opulskas, CEO Rob Wolf discusses several strategies worth considering, including Roth conversions, required minimum distributions, qualified charitable distributions, donor-advised funds and the potential tax implications of major life changes. He also introduces Wolf Tax & Consulting Services, created to provide greater coordination between tax preparation and financial planning.
Meet the Team: David Jasper

As Rob shared in the video above, Wolf Tax and Consulting Services was created to expand the firm’s tax capabilities and bring tax planning into closer alignment with each client’s broader financial plan. Helping lead that effort is David Jasper, CPA, the firm’s new Tax Manager.
David brings more than 20 years of accounting, tax and financial leadership experience to the role. His background includes public accounting, individual and business tax preparation, multi-state corporate tax work, and senior financial leadership positions across manufacturing and private industry. Throughout his career, he has served in Controller, Plant Controller, Accounting Manager and CFO-level roles.
David will initially focus on strengthening the firm’s individual tax preparation and compliance services for existing clients. As Wolf Tax and Consulting Services continues to grow, he will also help integrate tax planning more closely with the financial planning support provided by the financial advisors at Wolf Financial Advisory - supporting informed decisions involving retirement income, Roth conversions, charitable giving, long-term tax strategy and legacy planning.
David’s addition brings greater in-house CPA expertise, increased capacity and a strong foundation for future growth. Most importantly, his experience will help clients feel more informed, confident and supported as they navigate their tax decisions.

Growing wealth is only part of a strong financial plan. Protecting what you’ve worked hard to build is just as important.
From liability and life insurance to disability coverage and long-term care planning, risk management helps create a financial backstop for the unexpected. In our latest blog, we explore how identifying potential vulnerabilities today can help protect your income, assets, family, and long-term financial goals tomorrow.

After decades of saving, spending in retirement can feel harder than expected.
In the latest episode of the Wolf Financial Podcast, Amanda Opulskas joins Rob Wolf, Sara Wolf, CFP®, and Chad Lange to explore the transition from saver to spender - and why that shift involves more than simply reaching a retirement date.
The team discusses how a thoughtful retirement income plan can help you:
- Turn your savings into a dependable income stream
- Spend with greater confidence
- Prepare for changing expenses
- Balance enjoying retirement with leaving a legacy

Cubs Event - A Night at the Ballpark

In August, Wolf Financial Advisory welcomed clients to a special appreciation event at a South Bend Cubs game. It was a wonderful evening filled with baseball, ballpark food and, most importantly, the opportunity to spend time together outside the office.
We truly value the relationships we have built with our clients and appreciated the chance to relax, connect and enjoy the game together. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so memorable!

Stuff-A-Truck 2026
Wolf Financial Advisory is proud to once again team up with YCountry 99.9 to support Stuff-A-Truck, a longstanding community effort helping local families experiencing food insecurity.
This year, we are doubling the impact of every gift by matching donations dollar for dollar - up to $25,000!
Stuff-A-Truck takes place November 16 - 21 at Roger’s Foodland and benefits the Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency, which provides food assistance and other essential services to residents throughout Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we invite you to join the Wolf Financial Advisory team in filling the trucks and helping our neighbors. Every dollar donated can make twice the difference - providing more food, more support, and more hope for families across Southwest Michigan.
Follow our social media for additional donation details as the event approaches.
Wolf Financial Advisory, Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency (SMCAA), and USA Financial Securities are not affiliated entities. There is no obligation or expectation to donate to the charitable organization mentioned.
